It's a simple hand-held electronic analgesia system connected to the hygienist's ultrasonic scaler, allowing you to manage your level of sensation throughout the procedure. How? As the hygienist cleans your teeth, you simply adjust the amount of power according to your own sensitivity threshold, and the device responds by reducing the excitability of your nerve fibers to eliminate pain at that level.
