The Extra MileWarren R. Stenvall, DMDDr. Stenvall earned his DMD degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, completing their accelerated program in 1976. He then completed a one-year general practice residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital, with a special interest in general anesthesia an area of expertise that has served him well over the years, providing him with the necessary background knowledge and clinical experience needed to keep people comfortable through all kinds of procedures. Dr. Stenvall has always made ongoing education a priority, completing over 150 hours per year of continuing education courses. This commitment has allowed him to maintain an excellent working knowledge of the broad spectrum of topics pertinent in treating the day-to-day needs of his patients. His most recent certification is in the use of the new BIOLASE technology: a water-laser technique that allows him to perform both simple and complex dental procedures quickly, comfortably, and with incredible precision. To learn more about this technology, just check out the essay in our Patient Library. Dr. Julie M. ElessawiThe newest member of our team is Dr. Julie M. Elessawi. She graduated with honors from Seton Hall University in 1997, with a B.S. in Biology and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Elessawi completed a General Practice Residency at Jersey City Medical Center in 2002. Dr. Suzan GhattasThe second of the two newest members of our team is Dr. Suzan Ghattas. Dr. Ghattas is a former society member of BBB, and a former member of Phi Beta Kappa, an undergraduate honors organization. Our TeamOver the years, we've forged a truly remarkable group of workers, held together by integrity, commitment, and teamwork. Technically speaking, we're trained and equipped to handle whatever needs our patients may have. And humanly speaking, we're always willing to go the extra mile. What do we mean by that? Well, maybe you've never really thought about it, but dentistry just isn't an easy field to be in. First, there's the fact that the human mouth is a complicated place in which to work. Hundreds of variables affect people's dental health, making methodical evaluation and careful diagnosis absolutely critical. Second, we have to be prepared to handle all kinds of last minute problems, since tooth trouble can come without warning, requiring immediate attention. And to top it all off, the dentist's chair isn't most people's idea of a great place to be. So we spend our entire day, every day, dedicated to excellence while dealing with people who would rather be somewhere else. Sound like fun? Well, amazingly enough, we find it very rewarding. And that's where the extra mile concept comes into play. We love to see patients respond positively to the very real, compassionate care we provide. So we do what it takes to make them comfortable, welcome, and healthy. If you find it hard to believe you could actually enjoy your dental appointments, we invite you to come in and meet us in person. |
